Tamhidi of Science Physical and Technology aims to provide students from science stream background with high-skilled to be able to enroll into the Bachelor’s degree program particularly in the Faculty of Science and Technology and Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, USIM.

Upon completion of the program, successful students can apply for entrance into various science-based Degree programs in USIM as listed below:
• Architecture
• Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Food Biotechnology
• Chemical Industry Technology
• Applied Physics
• Health Industry Technology
• Actuarial Science and Risk Management
• Security and Information Assurance
• Financial Mathematics

Students will not only proficient in science and technology under this program but it also shapes their personal character, cautious, disciplined, and responsible for the religion, society, and nation parallel with understanding of the integration of Naqli and Aqli knowledge.

Specific Admission Requirements

Pass with minimum  Credit (Grade C) in ANY ONE (1) of the following subject:

  • Pendidikan Islam / Pendidikan Al-Quran dan As-Sunnah / Pendidikan Syariah Islamiah / Tasawwur Islam / Usul al-Din / Al-Syariah / Hifz Al Quran/ Maharat al-Quran / Turath Dirasat Islamiah / Turath Al-Quran dan Al- Sunnah / Manahij Al-‘Ulum Al-Islamiah
Pass with minimum  Gred C in the following subjects:

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Mathematics
  • Additional Mathematics
  • English
Pass with minimum  Credit (Grade C) in ANY ONE (1) of the following subject:

  • Biologi / Sains / Sains Tambahan / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Awam / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Elektrik & Elektronik / Pengajian Kejuruteraan Mekanikal / Reka Cipta / Lukisan Kejuruteraan / Grafik Komunikasi Teknikal / Asas Kelestarian / Sains Rumah Tangga / Pertanian / Sains Komputer / Prinsip Perakaunan / Perniagaan / Ekonomi / Sains Sukan / Pendidikan Seni Visual / Lukisan / Reka Bentuk Kraf / Pengajian Keusahawanan

Students who did not take the Arabic language (Bahasa Arab) subject in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, or its equivalent, are required to study Arabic throughout their period of study at the Tamhidi Centre.
Candidates do not have physical disability/ any disability that makes practical work difficult.
